20/3/05: Changed the title.
Here it is: my art major for this term  "Inspired by the recent south-Asia tsunami disaster, my aim will be to integrate human expression and emotion into the environment in order to personify the destructive force of nature." I wanted to create a truly surreal, dream-like and somewhat terrifying atmosphere. Dark, brooding storm clouds and cold greens contrasted against the warmth, life and grandeur of the city were used to create a sense of urgency and distress. Then there's the monstrosity inside the wave. My aim was to use shock and awe in order to draw attention to the piece, then invoke deeper thought by including the biblical quote. We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it. Each day we will feature 5 deviations from the Literature categories in a News Article. In order to support the artists that we feature, we ask that you  the news article as well as check out the individual pieces. We understand that each day you may not be able to check out each and every one of the pieces, everyone has their own things going on.
